What we do

Go Make a Difference is a charity which enables volunteers to get involved in a wide range of community projects in East Africa such as building schools, clean water supplies and providing vital medical and social care. 

This video was filmed in Musoma, Tanzania with our 2022 Gap Year and provides an insight into a typical Go Make a Difference trip and what to expect if you join one of our teams.   

Our volunteers

School groups, Gap Year students, families, professionals all volunteer with us. If you have 1 week or 1 year we want to hear from you. Last year we supported over 200 people to make a real difference in Africa.  This year it could be you!  

Go Make A Difference have built over 250 water tanks, each one saves on average two children’s lives

  • “Our trip to Tanzania was better than fantastic; it was awesome and we can’t wait to go again! We were able to do such a wide varieties of things from building a water tank, pit latrine and goat shed to helping in the orphanage and showing the children some love, care and attention. We thoroughly enjoyed sharing our holiday with other families as well as the Go MAD team. We had the opportunity to go on safari in the Serengeti midway through our trip and at the end of our trip we had a relaxing holiday in another part of Tanzania which Go MAD helped us organise. We have some memories that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. It has changed us. We think the projects that Go MAD complete are fantastic and life changing. Our children loved all the different elements of the trip too - there was something for everyone!“
